Prologue

The concept of Shamballa is often perceived as mysterious, secretive, and inaccessible. While some view it as a physical place, esoteric teachings describe it as an etheric region accessible only to great Initiates or as a state of consciousness of the planetary Logos, in which all beings participate to some extent. Access to Shamballa requires passing through the trials of Initiation, guided by the mystical state of “serene expectancy,” which develops the heart center and spiritual will.

VBA, encouraged by his Master, undertook the task of writing about Shamballa despite initial doubts. His previous work on esoteric topics, intuitive development, and focused consciousness prepared him for this endeavor. The Master emphasized that Shamballa encompasses all life and that its mysteries can be accessed through meditation and spiritual readiness.

Shamballa exerts immense influence on global events, particularly in politics, economics, science, and education, as part of the planetary Logos’ preparation for the Fourth Cosmic Initiation. This initiation, tied to cosmic and planetary alignments, will profoundly impact humanity, offering both challenges and opportunities for spiritual growth. The connections between Shamballa and humanity are reflected in various esoteric correspondences, such as the Fourth Ray, the Fourth Kingdom of Nature (humanity), and the Fourth YOGA (Agni Yoga). These links highlight humanity’s karmic relationship with Shamballa and its role in the planetary Logos’ evolutionary journey, presenting a chance for profound spiritual emergence amidst global tensions.

I will end this Prologue to THE MYSTERIES OF SHAMBALLA by warning readers that much of the content of this book will have to be intuitively gleaned, given the transcendence of the message it seeks to reveal. As ever, the sure rule for higher understanding and the development of intuition is the use of the principle of analogy, as the great HERMES TRISMEGISTUS himself stated many centuries ago.

I hope with all my heart that the ideas contained within THE MYSTERIES OF SHAMBALLA are of use to all sincere spiritual aspirants of the world who are truly interested in discovering the eternal secret of their human lives and their infinite and transcendental connection with the Cosmos.
