Chapter 2 Roles and Responsibilities
2.1 Coordinator (Eagle I-O Consultants)
Define the goals and objectives for the mentoring program that e directly to the organization’s leadership
- Ensure the corporate mentoring program is created and sustained.
- This will be done through succession planning within the group
- Review and make thorough and consistent evaluations of the mentees’ progress
- Attempted monthly meetings with mentees
- Text check ups for mentees
2.2 Mentor
With a mind toward building a successful mentoring relationship, mentors are expected to:
- Attend training sessions
- Schedule a minimum of three face-to-face sessions with the mentee(s) during the semester(s) that should last for 30-minutes
- Maintain contact with the mentee(s) via electronic means throughout the semester(s)
- Celebrate mentee success
- Evaluate and provide feedback on each session via web form.
- Maintain contact with the coordinator via email.
- Encourage mentees to take advantage of campus service
2.3 Leadership
- Educate key leaders and faculty on the benefits of the program and professional value to the students
Post in student newspapers, websites, social media pages, and student organization participants
