Chapter 10 THE MAGICAL ACTIVITIES OF THE ASHRAMS
Ashrams, as spiritual centers of the Hierarchy, are vital hubs of organized Magic and spiritual training, where disciples, initiates, and devas collaborate under the guidance of Masters to fulfill divine purposes. These Ashrams mirror the creative processes of the Logos, forming structured environments for spiritual evolution and the manifestation of divine will.
- Nature and Structure of Ashrams:
- Ashrams are microcosms of creation, formed by a Master’s vibratory Note, which attracts human souls and devas in harmony with it. These entities collaborate to build the Ashram’s seven spheres, analogous to the seven planes of existence.
- The Ashrams are hierarchical, with the planetary Logos, Sanat Kumara, and the Chohans of the Rays overseeing their activities. There are seven principal Ashrams (aligned with the Rays) and forty-nine subsidiary Ashrams, each with specific missions.
- Purpose and Work of Ashrams:
- Ashrams provide esoteric teaching and spiritual training, focusing on developing intuition, understanding creative processes, and fostering group work rather than individual ambition.
- Disciples learn to align with divine purpose, control their vehicles of expression, and collaborate with devas in magical and creative activities.
- Hierarchy of Ashrams:
- The seven principal Ashrams are led by Chohans of the Rays, such as Master Morya (1st Ray), Master Koot Hoomi (2nd Ray), and Master St. Germain (7th Ray). Each Ashram channels specific energies to fulfill planetary needs, such as politics, education, art, science, and ceremonial magic.
- The seventh Ray, associated with Master St. Germain, is particularly significant for organized Magic, focusing on transforming subjective energies into material forms through rituals and ceremonies.
- Schools of Spiritual Training:
- Disciples progress through three main schools:
- Hall of Apprentices: Focuses on basic spiritual disciplines and control of the physical and etheric bodies.
- School of Knowers: Teaches collaboration with devas and the mechanics of creative Magic, emphasizing group work and aura fusion.
- School of Wisdom: Prepares initiates for higher creation and integration with divine purpose, culminating in the School of Cosmic Opportunity for Masters.
- Intermediate schools, such as the “School of Analogy” and “School of Human-Deva Unification,” foster deeper understanding and collaboration between humans and devas.
- Disciples progress through three main schools:
- Human-Deva Collaboration:
- A key focus of Ashrams is the unification of human and deva energies, enabling joint participation in divine creation. This collaboration is guided by the principle that “humans think, and angels build.”
- Through aura fusion and shared training, humans and devas work together to manifest higher archetypes and fulfill the Creator’s plans.
- Spiritual Development and Purpose:
- Disciples are trained to align their will, attention, and mind with divine purpose, progressing from universal to individual understanding. This integration leads to the realization of divine intention within the human being.
- The ultimate goal of Ashramic training is to prepare disciples to participate in the Creator’s Plan, transforming life and form into expressions of divine perfection.
In summary, Ashrams are centers of spiritual evolution and organized Magic, where human and deva energies converge under the guidance of Masters to manifest divine will. Through structured training and collaboration, disciples learn to align with higher purposes, contributing to the transformation and perfection of life on Earth.
